UIDAI permits people with Aadhaar cards to change their address without the need for any paperwork. Aadhaar card holders are able to update their address, if they accept the authenticity and verification process of an address verifier. A verifier of address could be a family member, friend landlord, family member or even a friend who can allow the Aadhaar card user to utilize their address for proof.
UIDAI is now stopping this feature. UIDAI replied to an Aadhaar Card owner via Twitter, stating that the capability to update address on Aadhaar Card via an Address Validation letter was canceled.
